Luisa Pineda is currently a student at the University of Texas at Austin studying Advertising with a minor in Business. She began her career in photography her 3rd year of high school where she began with darkroom/film photography. As a senior, she participated in a program called Collaborations at the Houston Center for Photography where she got to exhibit her work in the gallery space; Collaborations XV: Gray Matters. This program opened many doors as she got to sell her work, develop her skills & fall deeper in love with photography. After graduating high school, she transitioned into digital photography which opened an entire new realm of photography. She was offered a spot in the Houston Center for Photography’s Print Auction in 2017 where her work was exhibited alongside photographers such as Elliot Erwitt and Keith Carter. She recently was a guest speaker at the Houston Center for Photography’s Print Auction in 2019. She is now stationed in Austin, TX where she is pursuing her passion for photography as she works alongside the SPARK Magazine, KVRX 91.7 and freelance work.

Photography is being able to capture a fragment of a second forever.

She hopes you like the work she has produced this far and that you will consider her the next time you need a professional photographer. She hopes to flourish even more as the years go by.
